How do I price a move?
Local moves are usually billed by the hour with a crew size and truck rate; long-distance moves by weight or mileage. Always quote a clear minimum and explain how stairs, long carries, and specialty items affect the final total.
Should I list mileage and supplies separately?
Yes. Clients accept mileage and material charges far better when shown as their own lines rather than buried in a flat fee, and it makes your estimate easy to defend if questioned.
Do I charge sales tax on moving services?
